Outfit posts make me uncomfortable. Other cutie bloggers are so good at them, so it makes me very hesitant about doing it myself. I don't really have the patience, confidence, skill, nor time to make a proper camera set up, so these are candids I did on Photobooth in the meantime. The cat helps, though.

I can't believe I didn't have a hoodie until now. Silk back, zipper detailed hood, bat wing raglan sleeves and way too over sized. Sounds over designed but some how works in my opinion. I probably should have just gone to American Apparel, but I just couldn't pass this one up. It makes me feel like a champ.

Sometimes this is how I feel about fashion. It can be either controversial and intelligently progressive or it can be a big fucking joke. Half of the people I have met that are a part of the “industry” are some of the most creative, intelligent people I’ve come across. The other half are the kind of people who: say things like “fashion is my life,” have boyfriends take pictures of them in a field for their blog and wear furry everything with denim shorts all year round. They are too concerned with what other people think and they rely too much on trends. They don’t read books or do anything intelligent.

Smart people who work with them usually feel sorry for them.

Naked Tonight

Sometimes I get talked into photo shoots for/with friends. This one is inspired by photographer Nan Goldin. I really loved her candid, intimate photos, especially her early work that featured couples at home, the AIDS epidemic that was ravaging Nan's friends in the 80s, NYC's post-punk scene and street urchins at night.

Here are some of the shots we did, minus some slightly more risque ones. I'm still dealing with my friend Josh blowing up photos of me in VERY see-through undergarments and entering it in contests to show at the De Young Museum. My inner old-Chinese lady is very, very nervous.

This is Lindsey and Abel. Lindsey is actually stunningly beautiful. I wish you could see that here.
