I think the history only makes it a bit more special and dynamic. Consider something that was once owned by someone who is bred from poverty, violence, oppression and classism. It's pretty remarkable that something they discard, with no value, becomes reinterpreted as beautiful and desired by women all over the world. It's fucking genius.
