Remember those images I posted of Colin Newman, front man of Wire, performing in all snow white? I've been inspired by it this Spring season and have been donning all white these past two months (white peg-leg jeans, white oversized button up, white circle scarf), like an escaped asylum inmate. I think people here appreciate the effort (all year round we wear black religiously in SF).
Perhaps I am inspired by some looks I love from Lina Osterman:
Her commercial line, Pudel
In french, white is blanc, like blank. Recently, I've been feeling stuck. But now I'm feeling rejuvenated and this all white kick is like starting over, a blank slate.
I love clothing that drapes and has enough extra fabric that can be contorted, shaped and imagined into something else. You can layer them on in piles and piles too (I'm always, always cold, even in warm weather).
Don't forget accessories!
And wedges for us little people
comfy flats too
owl from flickr, Lina Osterman's Spring 2009 lookbook, Pudel Spring 2009 lookbook, Slow and Steady Wins the Race glasses from ShopStandingUp and Revolve, Proenza Schouler python pouchette from Barneys, wedge shoe images from Google, TOMS shoe image from TOMS shoes
stunning. . . .I'd die for those wedges.
